From whiskey prairie dresses against a desert landscape to billowing cinnamon blouses amidst grassy fields, it’s as if the earth has risen from the ground as humans rediscover the beauty and warmth of nature. It was inevitable. The need for digital detoxification has spurred city dwellers to climb mountains or, at the very least, grow a garden. This return to the pastoral and bucolic also coincides with the global awakening on the effects of climate change.

It is but fitting then that Eika PH, Philippines’ #1 online swimwear store, would choose to launch its resort wear with this rustic palette. Since 2014, Eika PH has been delighting young women with its mix and match swimwear sold online for their convenience.

Erika Rodica, Eika PH managing director, says, “Love of nature is inherent in our business. We provide swimwear to clients who want to experience the best of nature. They want to go into the water. They want to lie in the sand. That’s about as interactive as you can get with nature. When we thought of launching our resort wear, nature was also our inspiration. But instead of the blues of the water and the sky, we chose the browns of the earth. We wanted to pay homage to that which brings forth life.”

For its first collection, Eika PH opted for tops and bottoms in brown, tan, and sienna as well as neutral black and gray. Eika’s tops, flowing freely, are made from lightweight challis. A woven fabric made from rayon, it features a soft, flowy drape for ease of movement. Eika’s shorts, fashionably high-waisted, are made from spanrib cotton and neofabric to give the wearer a snug stretch.
